We Made Blood!

Your child might have sticky fingers this afternoon! We had a blast making blood for our Human Body Unit. Each child was given a small water bottle and some water. The water represented plasma. We then cut Hot Tamales to create red blood cells. Small marshmallows were added next to represent white blood cells. Lastly, we added sprinkles for the platelets. We also discussed the role that each part plays.
